Corridor Development · Wildfire Recovery

Wildfire Recovery Corridor Altadena and the Palisades, rebuilding as themselves.

Every business that wants to come back should be able to: financed, rebuilt and reconnected to its customers. And the dollars, contracts and jobs the rebuild creates should stay in the communities that lived through the fires.

Two communities, one recovery

Different neighborhoods. The same chance to come back stronger.

The Eaton and Palisades fires began the same week in January 2025. Altadena and the Palisades are very different places, so each gets its own focus, inside one shared recovery corridor with one set of partners.

Eaton Fire

Altadena

One of the country's most established Black homeownership communities, with a business district that grew up along Lake Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue.

Our focus

Keep Altadena owned by the people who built it. That means capital and insurance help for owners who want to rebuild, local businesses winning rebuild contracts, and real support for owners deciding whether to rebuild, sell or pass the business on.

Palisades Fire

Pacific Palisades

A village business district on Sunset Boulevard, where the restaurants, shops and services that anchor daily life are coming back block by block.

Our focus

Get the Village open again, faster. That means help with permits, insurance claims and contractors, bridge capital while claims are settled, and bringing customers back to every business that reopens.

Why now

The rebuild is an economy. Local businesses should win it.

Recovery here will take years, not months, and billions of dollars are already moving into rebuilding. Every contract a local electrician, engineer or supplier wins, and every job a displaced worker fills, keeps that money working in the community.

How we help

Five ways we are moving the recovery forward.

These work together as one service: a business comes in through one door, and we connect it to whatever its situation calls for.

Capital you can use now

A capital table of banks, CDFIs and community lenders with one warm handoff, so an owner waiting on an insurance claim or a disaster loan reaches the right lender without starting over at every door.

Customers back in the door

Help reaching new and returning customers while neighbors come home: regional marketing, online and delivery channels, pop-up locations, and the LA is Open for Business campaign.

A guide through the rebuild

Step-by-step help with insurance claims, permits, contractor vetting and equipment, plus a plan to keep operating while you rebuild, so owners spend less time stuck and stay clear of scams.

One front door

One intake, one partner network and one plan, so every business gets the same quality of help no matter which door it walks through, and partners can see the whole picture.

The rebuild, built by locals

Routing rebuild contracts and hiring to local contractors, suppliers and displaced workers, and protecting long-time owners from being bought out before they can come back.

For business owners

Wherever you are in your recovery, start here.

Every owner's path looks different. Tell us which of these sounds most like you, and we will take it from there.
