A noteFrom our team
Some of the most important work in LA County happens when leaders decide to build something together. You get asked to join a lot of tables, but this one is built to be different.
It starts with community stakeholders’ vision, and every milestone this table reaches is a visible step to the corridor’s growth: money lent, empty buildings filled, new businesses opened, neighbors hired. You'll see each one land.
Why thisWhy now
The resources are here. Together, they go further.
In the Healthcare Corridor in South LA, and the Wildfire Recovery Zones in Altadena and the Palisades, the resources to change things already exist. A bank has capital to deploy. A hospital has contracts to award. A city has land ready for its next chapter. A foundation has a grant cycle opening.
What comes next is bringing those decisions to one table, in the same neighborhood, at the same time. That is what a consortium is: the organizations that come together to provide what a corridor needs. A corridor is a group of neighboring communities we're helping grow around a shared strength, like healthcare in South LA or rebuilding in Altadena and the Palisades.
LAEDC's job is to bring everyone together, keep the work moving, and make sure the results show up where people live: open doors, new jobs and local owners.
