Participated in a corridor initiative or activation
How this closesAttend the session — Your check-in closes this.
Why this matters
A corridor initiative is a room containing the people who decide things: buyers, lenders, city and county staff, partner organisations, and other businesses in the same position as you. Showing up puts you in front of all of them at once, which is not a thing you can buy and is hard to arrange alone.
The businesses that get introduced to a buyer, named in a funding application, or asked to join a programme are almost always the ones somebody in that room already knows. That is not favouritism, it is how recommendations work. Being known is the whole mechanism.
Before you start
Be able to say what you do in one sentence and what you are looking for in a second. Most of the value in these rooms comes from someone else being able to repeat your sentence to a third person after you have gone home.
Decide what you want from it before you go. An introduction to a particular kind of buyer, a lender who understands your sector, a supplier, or simply to be known by the people running the corridor work. A clear ask is easier to help with than a general presence.
The rest of this step is for LAEDC clients
The steps themselves, the questions worth asking Pathfinder, where to send your document, and who to call when you get stuck. An account is free, it keeps your progress, and it connects you to an advisor who works with businesses like yours.
