Business reopened at permanent location
How this closesHand in your document — Submitting it closes this step. We keep a copy for your record — we never file or submit anything for you.
Why this matters
Reopening is the outcome the whole route exists for, and it is also the moment most likely to be handled as a date rather than as an event. The doors being open is not the same as customers knowing, listings being right, staff being ready and the first week not breaking you.
It is also the number that matters most outside your business. A reopened business in this corridor is the measure funders, the City and the County are reporting on, so recording it properly is part of making the case for the money that helped you and the businesses behind you.
Before you start
Have the certificate of occupancy in hand, not expected. Opening without it is the one risk in this step that can undo everything upstream of it.
Decide on a soft opening before the announced one. A week at reduced hours with a shorter menu or a limited service list finds the problems while the stakes are low. Every business that opens straight into a full launch spends the first week apologising.
The rest of this step is for LAEDC clients
The steps themselves, the questions worth asking Pathfinder, where to send your document, and who to call when you get stuck. An account is free, it keeps your progress, and it connects you to an advisor who works with businesses like yours.
